Mantu or ashak: which dumplings should you try first?

Our two dumpling dishes look like close relatives, and they are — but they eat quite differently.

Choose mantu if…

• You want something hearty and meaty
• You like a rich sauce with a little warmth
• You're feeding someone who's not sure about new food — it's the most familiar-tasting of the two

Choose ashak if…

• You'd like a vegetarian dish
• You love fresh, green flavours — leek, spring onion and coriander
• You prefer something lighter
